At Dawn, Uluru, NT/b]
I was up at 4:30am this morning. Sunrise was at 5:45am. I wanted to get there early to scout the area for a good location to photograph Uluru. It was pitch dark out side. I jumped in my car and headed for the rock. I parked my car and sat in it for a little while waiting for some day light so I can see my surroundings. Looking up in the night sky there was billions of stars. Because of the zero light pollution and a clear cloudless sky, there was a blanket, as they say, of stars. Mind blowing.
I got out of my car, grabbed my gear and off I trekked. I didn’t walk more than 100m and there they were coming, an entourage of cars and tourist buses. OMG I thought. Quick walk before the tourists get off the bus. Haha .
Ayes Rock resorts run sunrise tours every day.
I probably walked about 500m when this location caught my eye. I loved how the trees on either side of Uluru acted as a frame for the rock. I waited for the moment, when the mornings rays struck the rock and the colours glowed. Then I started snapping away. I love this shop. I hope you do also.
