STORY:
Arkaba Station, Flinders
Leaving Burra, I arrived at Wilpena Ponds Resort late in the evening. Tired after a long day of driving I decided to call it a day. I had planned to get up early the next day to photograph sunrise at the Arkaba Woolshed with The Elder Ranges in the background lit up with the days first light. The next day, there was heavy cloud built up right where the sun was rising. Still I took off for the Woolshed in the hope of capturing something. I set up my camera and waited, hopping for a small break in the clouds and for the sun to hit the Ranges. While I was waiting, I took the time to marvel at the landscape around me. Absolutely beautiful. Dry and arid but beautiful at the same time. Suddenly a small break. The sun made its way down the Ranges. As quickly as it happened, it disappeared. I was able to capture this shot. Love the Flinders.
