STORY:

Still standing, Burra

After my coffee and stretch of the legs at Mannahill, I made my way to Burra, a little town about 2hrs outside of Adelaide, 3.5hrs from Broken Hill. I’d been to Burra 5 years ago. It hadn’t changed. I popped into Polly’s Tearoom cause I’d seen a Maggie Beer segment on her cooking show where she visited this place to check out and taste their Cornish Pasty’s. They looked yummy so made sure I visited the shop while there. And yes, they were yummy. After that, I fuelled up and head to the famous Burra Cottage, the same Cottage pictured on Midnight Oil’s album “Diesel & Dust”. First photographed and made famous by Ken Duncan, Australian pioneer in panoramic photography. Here are three photos I took of the Cottage with different compositions. Which one do you like.
